Square Neckline

A square neckline bridesmaid dress is an elegant choice. Modest, but not overtly so.  Bridesmaid dresses with square necklines flatter the face and is a beautiful, modest way to show a little cleavage.

While not actually square in shape, a square neckline has more of a rectangle shape, with vertical lines running from the shoulder seam to the top of the decolletage, or chest area, and running straight across without being scooped or plunging.

The Social Bridesmaids 8144 square neck bridesmaid dress is a beautiful example. Its sits above the bust an almost perfect ninety-degree angle, meeting vertical shoulder straps.

The Watters Encore 4333E Alder bridesmaid dress on the other hand has slightly rounded corners, giving it a ballerina inspired shape, which nicely balances the A-line skirt, complete with pockets at the side seams.

There can be variations. Like the Social Bridesmaids 8148 bridesmaid dress, which tapers wide shoulder straps in a V shape, cut straight across the chest, combining a V-neckline with a square neckline.

The Mori Lee Affairs 31014 square neckline bridesmaid dress takes it to a whole new level, adding removable shoulder straps that let you go to a straight strapless neckline at any time, changing the look to suit the occasion.

Happy Bridesmaids carries many square neck bridesmaids dresses, as well square necklines for flower girls and jr. bridesmaids gowns. The Dessy JR500 for example features a square neck halter neckline, in preteen size, made of lustrous Dupioni, with a pleated skirt, also boasting hidden pockets on the sides to stash a few tid bits.

For the flower girl a square neckline will make her feel so grown up and princess-like. The Dessy FL4020 square neck flower girl dress in tulle and satin tops its fitted bodice with a crisp square neckline sitting high on the chest, meeting flat ribbon straps comfortably rounding the shoulder.
